Samsung Galaxy Camera GC100 - Mobile Phone

As a surprise at the launch of the Galaxy Note II, Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Camera that we first saw at IFA 2012. It has a 16MP sensor with 21X optical zoom. The camera also boasts of 3G connectivity via a SIM card, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a bunch of other connectivity options such as microUSB and a microSD card slot. It has a 4.7-inch Super clear LCD display which as you can see is very vibrant and very clear to view images on and run apps.

The special thing about the Samsung Galaxy Camera is that it runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean straight out of the box. The device is one of the first of its kind, though the concept has been around for years. Samsung was rumoured to be working on such a device, as far back as March this year. Nikon already has its Android-based camera in the market, the 'Coolpix S800c', which runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The top of the camera has the shutter button along with the power button. On one side is the USB port and headphones jack. The rest of the connectivity options are at the bottom, under the battery cover. The device also houses a flash that can pop up with the press of a button.

The Galaxy Camera functions as an Android device as well, with the only absence being the ability to make calls from it. It supports 3G capabilities via a SIM card though. You can also swipe down on the device to bring up the notifications just like an Android smartphone. The camera has three customizable home screens just like an Android smartphone. The right has three capacitive buttons representing back, home and menu.

The internal storage capacity of the Samsung Galaxy Camera is 8GB and can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Through the camera app, you can control the settings of the camera and functions such as the flash, and more The settings also give you access to features such as the Focus, Flash, WB and more. The display of the camera is very crisp and nice to view images on.

What are x-ray (see through) cameras, and how do they work?

What are x-ray cameras, and how do they work? Technologically, there are a few pieces to the puzzle, but the concept is very simple indeed. All you need is an infra- red camera (IR), special lens, a night vision camera, and a specific target to well, shoot. The light reflected on an object from sun or artificial lighting enables an object to be visible. In darkness (night or lack of lighting) this vision is limited or reduced to blindness.

Infra red lenses enable the camera operator to see what the unaided eye cannot . To see what someone is hiding underneath, you need a camera with night vision. For example, using these products, a person can see through light clothing, like lightweigh materials. Normal summer clothing would be easy to view what a person has on underneath. Some clothing, like a heavy winter coat, would be harder to penetrate. However, with this new technology, you can see through a shirt, bag and more. Even with a piece of paper used as a shield over the item being concealed, the hidden items below can definitely be seen.

Another part of the process is the use of water. When water is sprayed onto the object, the hidden object becomes even more visible. Perhaps because water creates reflective rays of its own and magnifies the existing rays to a more intensive level.

Another way to use the spy camera is in reading hidden text throuh a dark ink blot on an important document. Without risking smearing and destroying the paper, you can use the x-ray camera to see exactly what is written under the ink blot below. This is helpful in uncovering originally produced documents that have been altered or forged. An x-ray camera is an important tool in today’s modern society. Good common sense and etiquette suggests that it be used for professional reasons only and to respect the privacy of others who do not pose a threat to them.
